These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of FindWork. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these terms.
1. What FindWork does
FindWork is a platform that helps connect students with local businesses for youth-friendly work opportunities.
Important: FindWork is not an employer, labour hire provider, recruitment agency, or employment contracting party.
This platform connects students and businesses. All employment arrangements are made directly between the parties.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must provide accurate account and profile information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
- Students should use age-appropriate, truthful profile details (such as suburb, availability, and interests).
- Businesses must provide accurate business details and only post lawful, genuine roles.
- We may limit, suspend, or remove access for misuse, safety risks, fraud, or breaches of these terms.
3. Safety and communication rules
- No harassment, threats, bullying, discrimination, or sexual content.
- No requests for illegal work or unsafe tasks.
- Keep communications relevant to legitimate job opportunities and professional conduct.
- Contact between students and businesses should occur via platform-provided channels and approved relay methods.
- Any attempt to exploit, groom, scam, or manipulate users—especially minors—results in immediate enforcement action.
4. Job listing standards
- Listings must be clear, accurate, and not misleading.
- Pay and hours should be stated honestly and in plain language.
- Listings must comply with applicable youth employment and workplace laws.
- No deceptive opportunities, pyramid schemes, or unlawful work.
- No content that targets minors inappropriately.
5. Reports, moderation, and enforcement
Users can report listings, businesses, and behaviour that appears unsafe or inappropriate. We review reports and may take actions including content removal, listing deactivation, account suspension, or account ban.
We may also take action without a report where we identify serious risk, legal non-compliance, or repeated breaches.
6. Privacy and data
We aim to collect only the information needed to operate the platform safely and effectively. For details on data handling, rights, and deletion options, see our Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimers and liability limits
- FindWork does not guarantee job offers, hiring outcomes, employer conduct, or candidate suitability.
- Parties are responsible for conducting their own checks, interviews, and lawful employment arrangements.
- To the extent permitted by law, FindWork is not liable for losses arising from user conduct, employment disputes, or off-platform interactions.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms apply from the published effective date. Continued use of FindWork means you accept the updated terms.
